LANGWARRIN v SEAFORD

8:5:53 v 2:4:16

Todays game against Seaford was always going to be interesting, as we had four quality players missing due to injury, but this was an excellent chance for other team mates to step up another level. It was going to be a hard slog due to the condition of the ground but the boys adapted well, continually pushing the ball forward to lead 3:4 to no score at half time. Our third quarter was outstanding kicking a further 4:1 while Seaford remained on no score. Unfortunately the boys couldnt run the game out due to the conditions. Being outscored 2:4 to 1:0, this gives us something to work on as we cant afford these types of lapses against better opposition. Kevin Dredge, Joel Lawrence, Daniel Margheriti, Scott Kennedy and Robert Harding stepped up and were terrific all day, while Matthew Biggs, Ryan Caddy, Tim Urbans, Jake Webster, Paul Bardsley, Robert Stepon and Garth OConnor-Price played their normal consistent games. Well done, today - a good team effort.

BETTER PLAYERS:K Dredge, J Lawrence, M Biggs, G OConnor-Price, P Bardsley,

J Webster, R Caddy, T UrbansGOAL KICKERS:G OConnor-Price and T Urbans, 3; R Harding and J Williams, 1.

(A special mention to Stacey Simpson for a speedy recovery from a nasty injury)
