LANGWARRIN v MOUNT ELIZA RED

4:2:26 v 4:8:32

Todays game was a very good effort by the boys as they played four quarters of football and with a little luck, the game might have gone the other way. The on-ballers again played a great game of football, clearing the ball from the centre and feeding the forward line. The backline was under a lot of pressure but the boys manned up and constantly cleared the ball. The forward line has to concentrate more and be more positive when the ball comes down but they tried hard all day. It was good to see the boys more determined for the ball and it showed as the boys had at least forty more possessions than the past two games. Well done, boys!

LANGWARRIN v SEAFORD BLACK

3:8:26 v 1:0:6

Todays game saw us travel to Seaford. In a low scoring game our players found it hard to play our game plan because of lack of discipline, not holding our positions, not chasing the ball when needed and not manning up as Seaford so often ran the ball to loose men. Fortunately with Daniel Tobin, Sean Herdman and Matthew Hogan across the half back line, the ball was cleared away.

After half time the boys switched on, playing in front and attacking the ball and results came. Jason Viergever, Max Gawn, Stuart Field-Harper and Rhys Barnett worked hard in our forward line and the highlight of the third quarter was a great fall to our goal umpire, Phil Hogan. 3 Votes!!!! Our options for scoring could have been better as a 1 goal, 7 behinds in the second half needing to work the ball closer to goal for better results instead of being rushed.
